2015 was a very successful year for The Palace Pool Club which has become a go-to place that host international acts of DJ’s and EDM artists. Aside from that, I just love it being like the “Boracay” of Manila, with interiors and feels so relaxing yet tropical-magical. Below was the line up of events that I went to, from the latest to my first encounter with the coolest pool place in the metro.
MAJOR LAZER x DIPLO
Diplo is definitely one of those artists that I admire with unique musical style and memorable songs (well aside from him being cute haha). Combined with Major Lazer, which is originally Diplo + Switch until the latter left the group and included Jillionaire and Walshy Fire, their message and creative animated visuals at the event remind of a mixture of a lot of great things like reggae, house, electronic, etc.
Below was my OOTN for the concert.
They sang most of their songs from Peace is The Mission album, but also, of course, the ultra hits Where Are U Now and Lean On (which is my favorite because he also collaborated with my favorite, Dj Snake, who I heard will be coming to Sinulog huhu)

tested @Pantenephilippines Total Care conditioner last night. the result after 4-5 hours of partying at the last photo in this flipagram! I like how it managed my hair’s damaged ends and maintained the shine and softness of my hair. It didnt appear too volumized because of the conditioner but it didn’t make it too flat or oily after. i like this ever since its launch at @zaloraph this year. #doitallhair A video posted by M I K K I G A L A N G (@mikkigalangdotcom) on
Definitely Aokified that night! Steve Aoki is probably the most flexible EDM artist I witnessed. While he didn’t play much of his songs from the Neon Future II album which I’ve been expecting, he definitely knew how to please the crowd by remixing songs famous locally.
Below was my OOTN for that event!
Denim, dark lippie, and a swimsuit because i bet there will be so much colors at @steveaoki’s #neonfutureodyssey! ? off to #tattoosteveaoki #liveinlevisph #mikkigalangootd A photo posted by M I K K I G A L A N G (@mikkigalangdotcom) on
I didn’t get the chance to take more videos or photos that night because it was so jampacked and we were just dancing and drinking to his songs. LOL
Last but not the least, Porter Robinson which is my favorite from this set of artists. Know more about it here.
I missed two great artist too, Kaskade and Alesso, this year but I’m really hoping that more acts will be featured by the Palace next year! Thanks to Pam Sollilapsi, Levi’s and Ryan for all these musical experiences. You can contact them at 0917 689 8888 for bookings and reservations.
What were your favorites and who are the artists you’re looking forward to next year?
