QC Pride March
When I saw on Facebook that there’s going to be a Pride March at Quezon City days after the annual Metro Manila march which i wasn’t able to attend, I immediately confirmed my attendance. I have never participated in parades (even when I was in college) until this one which is held at a city that is closer to my home, at a city where it approved an ordinance against LGBT discrimination.
I joined (together with my STRAP sisters) without realizing how big QC is! Haha Love, nonetheless. And even though I don’t live there, really proud of the things they have accomplished (e.g. Qc #lgbt council, a pride march of their own, etc) But it is a long way still in the Philippines. But I want my life here to be better than this. To not be taken away from me just because of my gender just like what happened recently to Jennifer Laude. To be happy with it because you are accepted and most importantly, protected from any kind of discrimination or violence at work, streets, home.
I was so happy to see a community united, fighting for rights, and coming out for love. #DahilPagIbigPaRin #equality #WalangLabisWalangKulang
