I am #GuerlainPH Beauty Ambassador!
A week ago, I got an email from Guerlain that I’m going to be a part of their Beauty Council – a select group of bloggers, editors and influencers. It was such a kilig moment for me, especially when you’re a beauty enthusiast who rave products like Terracotta, Meteorites, and Rouge G. These are just some famous products from the Luxury French cosmetics brand – among the oldest in the world – now under parent org LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE.
I wore these all a few days ago at their booth to celebrate this achievement: I am #GuerlainPH beauty AMBASSADOR!
Now to jumpstart that, you girls are entitled to a SPECIAL SURPRISE on your fav Guerlain products – just mention the code (MikkiG015) to Guerlain consultants Joralyn or Bevs at their pop-up booth at Greenbelt 5 (near Balenciaga) until June 30, 2016.
If you’re already a Guerlain user, you all know what this means on your luxury staples. Below are some of my suggested and featured items – including the new ones for that ultimate makeup touch. This blog post is a condensed blog for 3-4 Guerlain events I’ve attended since 2014, my first blogging activity with the brand. So I’ll try to share everything I know and recommend! =)
BASES & METEORITES – I knew the legendary Meteorites line from my cousin-in-law The Misty Mom who raves this not-too-shimmery or glittery highlighter. As someone who has fine lines and puffy under eye, I don’t want my highlighters to intensify those. This line has a good consistency (like a perfecting halo) with very fine and ultra lightweight shimmers that reflect light perfectly. If you’re a user of highlighters, you will find that Meteorites (especially the Voyage compact format that retails PHP 9k+) is a an odd out – more like a version of a beauty powder – in a very good way.
Guerlain, the architect of light, reinterprets Météorites with each collection and season, giving all women access to a perfect complexion. I knew more about the line in 20014 – my first Guerlain event – and I just instantly fell in love with this makeup icon.
Now the 2016 line (see below) has more formats that you can explore depending on how you use it.
In one event as well in 2014, Guerlain challenged us to do makeup of some of their customers and below you can see how soft yet illuminated the base is on my model using Meteories and a favorite too – Blanc de Perle – powder foundation line that illuminates and light-sculpts with Guerlain’s secret ingredient since the 1830’s.
LIPSTICKS – Luxury colors don’t focus on the pigment but the overall feel and look of the product on the lip. I’ve tried and reviewed a few – Rouge G de Guerlain, Shine and Rouge Atuomatique – and they have second-skin texture and impeccable coverage. Just a few months ago, they released the first lipstick under the Le Petitie Robe Noire line which is deliciously perfumed, pigmented and buildable in coverage.
FRAGRANCES – Last but not the least, scents!! And my favorite is the couture scent, Le Petite Robe Noire. I attended the launch of this scent few years ago and I like the Original – a deep fruity floral scent in EDP. I am reminded of my stylish night outs with this scent. The chemistry? Black cherry blinks the first wink. It is illustrated by a blend of almond, berries and bergamot. The second twirl takes place as rose enters the stage. Finally, tonka bean tonka bean appears, leading you into almond seduction, highlighted by black tea for a smoky concoction.
Aqua Allegoria is my second top pick, a delicate and cheerful line that boasts of raw ingredients and wonders of nature. The new one is Pear Granita which is juicy fruity and fits my skin tone.
That’s my #GuerlainPH list and I suggest you check them out this month at the pop-up booth! Now, let’s go girls! Bonsoir!!
