Change Your Skin
A brand that started as a pharmacy in East Village NYC back in 1851, Kiehl’s presently remains to be true to its commitment in being the purveyor of the world’s finest skincare. In The Philippines, it has been present for 8 years, offering Filipinos skin care that works.
At the core of the brand are dermatologist solutions and natural apothecary that lets anyone change their skin.
A few days ago, I got the chance to check out Kiehl’s skin care challenge, which has been going on I think since I 2013 . Read more about a good friend’s review here. This skin care consultation is offered at any Kiehl’s branch where a shopper can also get 5 samples for free. During the event, I was able to diagnose my skin (well, confirm that I have super oily skin) – through the oil test. They recommended me to try the Calendula line – which I heard is super great from Saab and Shen – Ultra Facial line, and the Clearly Corrective Line (to diminish the appearance of spots and blemishes after breakouts.) While I think I’ll be in Tretinoin forever (hello to my oily and damaged skin), i think that I’ll review the brightening line at the beauty blog.
But what’s also nice about the consultation is I got to know when and how to apply my favorites (and share it to my relatives and friends that i’ve converted to using this brand!). For example, I just knew how the Midnight Recovery Concentrate (which i use whenever skin needs) should be applied using few drops only (especially for oily skin). It should also be smelled before delivering. And that lastly, it should be distributed to the palms and massaged onto the face gently.
The consultation also lets you swatch the products for their consistency and texture. I got to layer some of the toners, creams and sunblock products and happy to notice that most of them are really non-oily and non-greasy, suited for Asian skin.
The event was held at 12/10 which is a very nice place! Here are more photos of the event:
Go and try the consultation at any Kiehl’s branch and get to know more about your favorites, and what else your skin needs!
