“The Girl’ means being true to yourself and having fun while you’re at it,” said Gigi Hadid. “For me, that’s appreciating every moment, laughing at myself, and surrounding myself with everything that makes me feel happy.”
When I first got this fragrance, I told myself, this is prolly the closest thing to being a Gigi Hadid, given her admirable attitude, confidence and effortlessly cool style. I got so excited to review and feature this scent which is probably one of my top EDT’s to date. I got so inspired that I shot my own OOTD in La Union, a place where happy is!!
Dubbed a “social supermodel,” Hadid has been credited with reshaping the world of modeling in the 21st century, and reinventing the role of the supermodel in millennial culture. Through the incredible reach of her social media channels, she connects with fans around the world – over 15 million on Instagram alone – and offers them a unique, behind-the-scenes glimpse into her lifestyle as a trend-setting style icon. She has appeared on the covers of Vogue, W, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, TeenVogue, Numéro, Schön!, and CR Fashion Book, amongst others, and has also appeared in music videos and television programs around the world. As part of her ambassadorship for Tommy Hilfiger the brand, Hadid has also teamed with the iconic American designer to create her first capsule collection, which further celebrates her modern take on style fused with Hilfiger’s signature “classic American cool” heritage. I can’t help but see this iconic look being consistent in all merchandise and accessories of the perfume just like the patches that came with it below.
“It’s fun to be in a campaign that’s seductive yet lighthearted and playful,” says Gigi Hadid. “I can’t wait for everyone to see what we shot – there are a lot of surprises to come!”
The fragrance packaging boasts Tommy Hilfiger’s signature nautical theme, with a brightly-colored anchor and a golden cap inspired by the buttons on a sailor’s coat.
I brought the bottle outdoors for my senses, which is what I do when it comes to reviewing fragrances. Truly, THE GIRL by Tommy Hilfiger is crisp and fresh. I used to wear this at day and even night before the trip and I always get comments that the scent is so fresh yet brightly magnetic. And really unique given that I have a lot of floral aquatic EDT’s.
The secret is that the scent opens with a burst of green pear, violet leaf and green fig leaves before moving to the heart of velvety jasmine petals and silky muguet. Cedarwood and cashmeran envelop the fragrance for its signature finish.
The scent for me is more Aquatic-white floral (in a green sense) that’s fresh yet woody. At first, it’s sweet and quite fruity but it becomes green and truly aquatic. It’s quite dynamic really but it happens quickly. The longevity is average but I wouldn’t mind being left with the uniquely sexy signature base of this fragrance which I rarely smell in others. it definitely can be used for fall/winter, but also during the summer (think cold summer nights!)
Inspired by Hilfiger’s iconic East Coast aesthetic fused with Hadid’s relaxed Californian twist that’s laidback and cool, the campaign was shot by photographer Mikael Jansson in New York City. Words and Photo: Press Release

Overall, I am fan of this unique fragrance and I think I’ve told a lot of people already about it hehe
I suggest you try THE GIRL by Tommy Hilfiger Eau de Toilette which will be available at Rustan’s Makati, Rustan’s Shang-ri La, Rustan’s Alabang, Rustan’s Gateway and Rustan’s Cebu on September 2016, and have a suggested retail price PHP3,900.00 per 100ml bottle.
Fairy doll #ootd, yess!! ✨
I love it when artists help me express a vision! I wore this outfit when I attended the wedding of a good friend, Alexis and Geoff #OhYesReyes. I asked help in exploring shapes and silhouettes from my super talented, smart designer and transsisy Mara Chua. Her aesthetic is perfect and she knows how to make my body more feminine! All her wedding designs are fierce and the elements make a story 👌🏻definitely recommend her!
True to her hard and soft aesthetic, She used rubber textile to achieve the shape but balancing it with a very soft drop halter cut and finishing the dress with delicate fairy custom made embroidery. Garden of Earthly Delights. Technology x Craft. It was digitally sketched then plotted then straight to the embroiderer.

The holiday season is upon us and GUESS brings another set of wardrobe must-haves with its Fall 2016 Collection.
Starring American blonde bombshell and model “it-girl”, Hailey Baldwin wears GUESS as her second skin at her first-ever GUESS campaign alongside Matt Trethe.
I attended 2 Guess events this year (one in the cover photo last Smmer) and I’m super happy to be updated with a brand that I used to wear and love when I was a kid. This triangle logo is just iconic!
In the event last week at The Brewery At The Palace, Guess showed the fall women’s collection is filled with an extensive selection of sleek, fashion-forward styles rendered in luxe fabrics including buttery suede, delicate lace and luscious faux-leather. Dresses dominate the delivery in several silhouettes including pleated trapeze dresses, textured fit and flare dresses, and super-stylish cullotes jumpers that create the ultimate fashion-girl ensemble when layered with any of the season’s classic staple button-downs.
Eyes on the bag! Guess also has a holiday collection that showcase a full range of sizes, structures and hues fit for any occasion the cooler, crisper air brings!
Denim makes a bold return offering iconic cut-off shorts, jackets, button-front skinnies with distress detailing in true blue denim tones and winter whites. This season’s color palette is dominated by the distinctive tones of oxblood and autumn reds intertwined with deep navy blues and browns including camel, cognac and honey.
“For this season it’s all about luxe fabrics such as soft suede and delicate lace. Some of the styles to highlight are the romantic bow tie, tops with ribbons in front, cape dresses and bare shoulders,” discussed by Clarish Barundia, GUESS Product Manager – Women’s Category.
I’m ready for Fall dressing and will share some of these items too. I love this color palette! Below are more photos of the event!
dope watches!
Prolly my first red carpet moment as a blogger in Pinas. Enjoyed the night at City of Dreams Manila and learned so much from other blogger and fashion icons. I wore a dress by friend Mitch Ochosa, with color that is quite similar to the traditional baby hues for girls, present in the transgender flag. Because, for me (may explanation talaga!! hihi) blogging is not just about makeup, it’s about telling stories (and struggles) of being a Transpinay. 😉

Thank you so much Cedar Salon for helping me dress up for this night!

Last week, I posted something about my experience at Megamall Fashion Hall. I got discriminated many times at their entrance ever since the mall opened a few years ago (the photo on cover). I’ve been shrugging it off whenever I would attend events but it was just the worst 2 weeks ago. I am meeting the company tomorrow morning, and I’m quite nervous about this. I invited some of my sisters in STRAP (STRAP Kababaihan Philippines, Inc. or Society of Transsexual Women of the Philippines, a pioneer transgender rights advocacy and support organization in the Philippines) to hopefully tell our community’s concerns too and recommend some changes based on SOGIE (Sexual Orientation, gender Identity and gender Expression). I think that that will be the best apology, given that we don’t have a anti-discrimination bill yet, which I hope Geraldine Roman would really push for in the Congress.Expression in style, makeup or other things is a factor in gender and it is important to us, especially to me, because I rely on it to represent my gender. When a mall is about fashion or style, there should really be a sensitivity about this.
But I just want to get this off my chest because I don’t want to be misunderstood here. I got some comments (from some friends as well) that I’m making a big deal out of this, or that I’m too dramatic. “Oh Yes,transgenders should be given a VIP lane“. Ever since I realized I’m transgender in college, I promised myself to just voice out all the difficulties and issues of being a transgender. More words, more understanding, I believed. It’s just a matter of human respect, and right to express ourselves as the woman we choose to be. That is all, guys.
Here’s one of the OOTD’s I took during the hell month of July, juggling work, blog and life. I decided to wear this top/dress that I’ve been using for work (coupled with jeans) and night outs. I like how this highlights the feminine parts of my body (!!) but not making me look too dainty especially with the nude color (couple that with a black lippy!). I also posted below some inspo’s from two brands I’ve been eyeing especially because of this style rationale.

I’ve known Kipling ever since I was a kid as my stylish mom would collect these imaginative bags with the monkey keychain on it – Kipling would call her an Imaginista,a group of women who love Kipling. It was very nostalgic indeed to visit the new Kipling concept store, The House of Kipling, where shoppers can dwell in the fashion and spirit that has made Kipling bags a well-loved global brand.
New Kipling store in SM Megamall
Inside the House of Kipling, there is a homey interiors made from an eclectic mix of natural and clean textures, surrounded by the signature tile wall with the iconic monkey print which you can see below – I like these deets!!
The color palette plays along the shades of taupe and greys, plus an occasional pop of orange and pink. Flemish inspired wall tiles and “Kipling Monkey” table legs bring to life the playful spirit and the European heritage of the brand.
The Kipling monkey’s on tiles remind of the fact that the cheeky monkey in every Kipling bag we grew up to are distinct and unique (each one has a name written under the arm + they’re named after their employees). Let’s talk about joy, originality and creativity in a product and company!
Featuring the print of one of the SS16 collections which i like
Nestled on sleek ceramic and wooden frames, drawers and gondolas are the store’s main attraction – the hottest collection of handbags, totes, carry-alls, backpacks and luggage in various shapes, sizes and prints. Nearby are clusters of colorful mirrors helping customers envision themselves strutting away their favorite Kipling bags. Bright, polychromatic poufs are likewise on hand offering a comfortable seating should customers get a little tired from bag fitting and shopping.

Reflecting Kipling’s desire to encourage discovery and exploration, the concept store also features a ‘Whimsy Wall’, where ideas, inspirations, special moments, and messages can be posted and shared so the store and customers can connect and become an engaged community.
The House of Kipling has put together all these elements and details (and new collections on top of it) to allow shoppers have a personal and intimate feel of Kipling bags, which we got to experience last April when Kipling had a great 50% off sale for its first 100 VIP customers. It was a jampacked event indeed. See below photos.
Now, the collections! During the opening, Kipling also had a mini fashion show to feature Kaeon, the most Kipling bag ever and the the newest and most stylish innovative collection that was launched recently by Kipling. Imaginistas from all over the globe love how these bags are a combination of style, function and sustainability.
The Kaeon collection introduces a new fabric that isn’t just lighter and softer than other bag materials used by Kipling like the most common crinkled nylon which the brand has been known for. Eco-friendly fabric “Aires” is a lightweight material that is 100% water repellent and made with 37% recycled fibers and 90% less water during the important dyeing process. These new bags aren’t just fashion accessories, but they are a step in the right direction when it comes to saving the planet.
Model Yam Hernandez wearing a Kaeon bag
I didn’t get a Kaeon bag but I got the minimalist but very functional Kipling SS16 bag which I used in Boracay and which i’ve been using daily at work. I like bags that are big (this one can be transformed into a smaller one via zippers. Kipling bags have great fabrics indeed that work for busy girls like me. You can check these out at SSM Aura, SM Megamall Mega Atrium, SM Mall Of Asia, SM Clark, SM Seaside, SM Iloilo, SM Bacolod and Robinsons Place Manila.
paired nicely with these!
After 15 years in the business, Asia’s definitive annual music festival, ZoukOut, is finally crossing borders. This year, ZoukOut breaks new ground on the fine, white sands of Boracay, Philippines. Together with co-presenter, the country’s #1 mobile brand, Globe Telecom, ZoukOut is out to redefine and amplify the LaBoracay experience. Adding to the excitement of the music fest, Globe rolled out a poll that allowed Filipinos to pick which home grown talents they want to represent the country at ZoukOut. Four big names in the Philippine electronic dance music industry, namely Mars Miranda, Deuce, Kat DJ, and Carlo Atendido, were cast as the official candidates.
I pretty much heard some of these local DJ’s in my first two nights in Boracay already and I’m so excited for Kaskade! My favorite song by them is Eyes.
