Free As Hair

Lady Gaga once said, “I’ve had enough, this is my prayer, that I’ll die livin’ just as free as my hair”. A while ago, my newest wig style arrived and I was so ecstatic to shoot it. Just to be clear, I love my natural hair (esp my current trim, color – c/o Cedar Salon) but there are just times that I want to take portraits of myself and express my mood without further damaging (through bleaching and coloring), thinning and styling my hair. I just wanna wear a wig cap, put on that lace-front wig, some makeup and then shoot. And below was today’s output.

  • Top: Topshop
  • Sunnies: Sunnies
  • Hair: Peary

The new Palmolive line -which Ill be sharing/reviewing soon- that does wonders for my natural hair lately

Enchanted Nymph

My stylist backed out last minute for my #faceawarsPH film and so happy that my friend Mara Chua, and one of the most talented and smart designers in the country helped me by creating this yellow-golden gown for me. The inspiration? Out of The Woods! Check out more photos below.

A Head Full Of Dreams

Just the best night of my life. Period. Maybe hypnotized. And i will repeat it again given the chance. There’s just something about the positivity, and happiness (AAAND sadness) that each song brings.I will be forever a fan and thank you Coldplay for this night. Dive Into the deeper Dolce & Gabbana Mediterranean blue

Light Blue is my mom’s go-to scent since I was in HS and I remember she would gift me this perfume every time when i was still studying. Definitely had a lot of memories with this scent with such freshness and unique accent.

Weeks ago, Dolce&Gabbana invited me to an event to announce the reinvention of its two cult fragrances: Light Blue and Light Blue pour Homme. Renewing their sensual freshness with unique accents. Making them even more irresistible, vibrant and long-lasting.

Sixteen years after the launch of Light Blue, master perfumer Olivier Cresp writes a new chapter of the Light Blue saga with Light Blue Eau Intense pour Femme. The fragrance opens with a sharp, addictive duo of scents: luminous lemon and crisp Granny Smith apple.

With its fruity and floral facets, elegant marigold blends this accord into heart notes: a wave of glowing, heady jasmine petals. Its signature trail of lustrous amber woods and precious musks melts into sun-kissed skin, unfurls into a vibrant, sensuously scented wake.

The packaging is almost the same (with a few more elegant and feminine lines) and I like my cult fragrances to remain the same but this one has a more fruity floral accent which I’m a fan of.

Now also sharing the new Light Blue Eau Intense pour Homme .

Launched in 2007, Light Blue pour Homme offers a magnetic, masculine alter ego to Dolce&Gabbana’s iconic feminine perfume. Today, master perfumer Alberto Morillas, continues to tell the story with Light Blue Eau Intense pour Homme, its signature contrast of freshness and sensuality becomes more assertive still.

A chilled citrus cocktail of refreshing mandarin and frozen grapefruit gives the top notes a cool, elegant twist.Aromatic juniper dives into the heart of salty, aquatic accord, conjuring the translucent blue water of the Mediterranean Sea. An abundance of vibrant amber woods wrapped in musks extends the radiance and staying power of this masculine blend, leaving a potent trail that captures the innate sensuality of the Light Blue man.

Streamlined and modern, the design of the new Light Blue Eau Intense fragrances reflects the heightened intensity of the scents. Inside their cool frosted-glass bottles, both fragrances take on the evocative, light blueshade of the Mediterranean Sea.

Shot on location at the Faraglioni in the Mediterranean Sea in Capri, Italy, the advertising film (which you can see previews here) features the lovers meeting again at the spectacular cliffs for a sensual tryst. The campaign also includes new images with Bianca Balti and David Gandy reunited in the scenery of a Capri natural “Grotta”.

Gaining Confidence in Wearing A Bikini

I will admit that I have struggled with confidence in wearing a bikini through the years. Thing is, I don’t do much of tucking, wearing bra or those freebra, and working out in a gym. I still want to find comfort and consume less time with regards to these things.

Aside from showing off like a perfect beach body, I didn’t really think that my bony cartileage around my neck, small zero boobs, broad shoulders and large veins/muscles would nicely fit in a suit. It was just hard and for us kinds of women. It is indeed a personal, beyond-beauty-kind-of struggle that one has to overcome only with confidence and the art of kebs.

So I practised. I have been posting some pictures of me wearing maillots or onesies in the bed or the comfort room, and some during photoshoots for the IG (meaning, I just wore it for the picture). See that above and below. My first ever bikini photo I posted was in 2013. But it was really a long time ago.

Acting like summer. 🌞 Day 2 of #soulsurf 🌊 📷: @hanejoys #mikkigalangootd

But it was just only until maybe last year that I let go of the cover up, took photos of myself enthusiastically AND THEN REALLY wore them throughout the day without any hesitation or anxiety. And I’m very happy that I was able to do that.

Because really, I can wear anything I want for my pleasure. I can wear a basic one piece or a pretty designed one that I liked (see Freeway’s designs below*). I can wear a one piece soon and I am not afraid to share the struggles that come with it as well (definitely saying hello to my stretch marks which you can already see because duh, body foundation and beach really isn’t functional). I think I gained some confidence and that feels good.

Metallic Fiery Forest Nymph

The challenge was enchanted nymph. I’ve been so in love with metallics (and glitters) since last year and gold and yellow, which are the colors of 2017. I was inspired by fire, the woods, and the birds. I hope you get inspired by my mood too!

If you like this look, please VOTE FOR ME at https://faceawards.nyxcosmetics.com.ph/. 3x per day per person/email until the 15th of May, hope I get your support if you like the 3 looks I’ve done, the story I’ve created and the film I produced by myself in San Antonio Pundaquit Zambales Philippines.

Vote for Me: NYX #FaceAwards Top 15!

As you girls all know, I got in to the Top 30 of the 1st NYX Face Awards competition in the Philippines and I would like to thank you for the support and encouragement you’ve given me since I entered. I like how this has been challenging my creativity as an artist, how I want to take it further to vlogging, and also how I accept myself (like speaking, literally in videos 😉 and  sharing more about beauty and beyond. Now I need your help as you will decide who will move to the next rounds.

In the below video makeup tutorial and travel film, I made a story about a nymph that has the ability to transform herself in anything that her heart desires.

This is also kinda personal to me as a transgender and beauty guru so I really stretched my imagination and made it into something that I really would like to consider as my art. It’s DAY 3 already of voting and I really hope that I get your support. I placed so much effort and production in making this and I hope that you can vote for me! See below how you can do that, and share to your friends too =)

Iridescent Girl Power

The second day of #Wonderfruitmusicfestival is the main attraction and I decided to wear something feminine, flattering to my body shape, yet strong and trendy. I also wore one of my favorite purchases this year from one brand I discovered on IG: an iridescent ‘Girl Power’ earrings from shopnin3.com (via Style Importers), which just speak so much to me as a trans woman, especially during international women’s month. I just love all the earring designs that they curate and I wanna purchase more (esp for that sticker label that says ” Make Yourself Hard to Kill”). They create strong designs for strong women and celebrate anyone who chooses to stray from the norm.
