REVIEW: Vivido Home Aesthetic Rf Massager

I often go to skin care clinics for RF/face-slimming/anti-ageing laser sessions which lessen fat cells in my cheeks and just improve my skin texture but there are just days when I’m really busy I couldn’t go out of office or work. There is really no permanent slimming of the face through laser as these just shrink the cells and they go back in a week or two so you really have to be committed. So when I found out about this Home RF massager, I was really excited as this would be my second option.

This is by a Korean brand called Vivido, originated in Seoul, South Korea. When it comes to equipments like these, I highly trust Korean and Japanese brands and since this is something that wouldn’t require an aesthetician. It is very handy at 80g.

Given as this is for self-use, the manual comes handy. there is warranty and everything can be read in English, Korean and Nihonggo. The device can be charged using USB. It came fully charged and usually takes 3-4 hours for use of 1 time which is 10 mins.

The device works to treat skin by occurring bi0-heat from friction heat (without any discomfort of muscle contraction) from high-frequency current through 3 different ways: EMS current, Radiofrequency and LED Photon wavelength (explained in the photo below). Each has its own level or intensity and purpose on skin which is just amazing as it can be for everyone.

NOTE: Dont use on children, Dont wear any metals while using and do not use while charging. It is not water-proof.

The above is my usual settings and for me, the most important thing is to reduce wrinkles and stimulate skin and production of collagen which can be in 620nm of LED wavelength, 89Khz of High-Frequency RF, and 35V of EMS current. It is great if you can ask your derma about it but Level 1 is azlready OK.

As you can also see here, you can adjust the level of EMS (from 1-5, the more you press the POWER button, the higher) and LED (color represents level of LED wavelength, the more you press the lower wavelength). Pink has a whitening effect but I prefer the Red for anti-ageing and refining.

The higher power, the more sensation you can feel especially when there is liquid or moisturizer (as conductor) underneath – which is recommended. Then you massage in a lifting stroke, for 5-10 minutes per day, not more than 10 minutes per major part of face.

After first try, you can feel skin tightened and rejuvenated. After a week of daily use, you can see a difference that the skin is glowing and more lifted. There is no intense heat, sound but I recommend closing eyes when doing this because of the light.

Overall, I like and would recommend this. The price is reasonable at 128 USD as it is reusable and of all the things Ive mentioned. You can check more at HERE.

The Truth About Drips

As an ultimate multi-tasker and multi-hyphenate marketer, blogger and entrepreneur, I don’t have much time to exercise and sleep. And as I commute everyday, a good immune system is essential. Being sick just makes me miss a lot of tasks and opportunities in a day,

Vitamin C is my everyday defense. It is a natural anti-microbial agent. I actually take 500mg of capsule every day as to protect myself from sickness and bacteria exposure from my very busy lifestyle – commuting, sleeping less than 8 hours a day, meeting new people everyday. Immunity is very important for people on  the go.

I used to take Glutathione capsules as well to enhance the benefits of Vitamin C, and detox my body especially my liver from the required social drinkings. And while it may be used as whitening by some (as a side effect), I prefer it as an anti-oxidant for my body.

Intravenous (IV) drips deliver vitamin, minerals and amino acids like the above mentioned, directly to the body for maximum absorption. This allows the nutrients to flood your body and nourish itself at the cellular level. By using this method clinics can safely deliver larger doses that would not otherwise be tolerated orally. IV vitamin/beauty drips can be used both proactively to maintain optimum wellness and also to treat acute and chronic conditions.

I’ve personally tried IV drips of glutathione, and other vitamins like C and B in clinics and I like doing it in the professional ones because there are nurses who are really trained to do it (as someone who fears needles too)

There are drips offered by clinics that are focused on certain ingredients but others combine and market them according to the need of patients – e.g. whitening, detox, etc. For whitening and detox needs, Gluta and Vitamin C are great combos as they work together in delivering both benefits at faster rate.

I have been searching online and saw amazing deals by Deal Grocer especially when you’re doing drips every 2 weeks, you need packages and amazing deals to lessen your expense.

One pick is the Gluta + 1500 mg Vit C IV Drip of Glow by Excelsior .For half an hour, and half the price (P2500) you get a high dosage of gluta and C.

Another one is the  Express Beauty Drip: Glutathione + Vitamin C 3000mg  of CocktailsMD Wellness Lounge. I like that it is P1000 off and Their Express Beauty Drip promises to optimize your liver function, speeds up the healing process from viral illnesses and even wounds, and improves your skin tone and texture.

There is no immediate effect but when I tried these potent drips, a week after I noticed increased energy, enhanced mood, decreased stress, and better hydration and glowing skin. I noticed as I was shooting arm swatches and vlogs that my skin looked healthier and my nasal allergic attacks were lessened.

Have you tried Iv drips before? What’s your fave combo?

Makeup Tricks for that Dewy Look

The latest trend in the makeup scene has been the dewy, no makeup look, with several pop stars, actresses and models posting pictures on social media. The dewy look is one that appears natural, and seemingly without makeup. As if you’ve just stepped on a hot summer day, but with flawless skin.

Lots of women try to replicate this look, albeit with many mistakes. Some go overboard on the blush or use too much foundation, resulting in an ashen, or blushed look that is neither dewy nor natural.

Here are a few tricks to help you achieve a dewy look.

  1. Start with a scrub or mist.

Dewy skin is supposedly moist and this trick goes a long way to keeping your making up looking that way. With a gentle scrub, you can exfoliate the top layer, allowing the layers of foundations and concealer to penetrate deeply later. A hydrating mist also adds to the shine you want in a dewy look. This mist makes the foundation adhere better to your skin.

  1. Use a primer

A primer is basically a base for your foundation. A primer can fill up the pores and fine lines in your face and act as a smooth base for you to apply your foundation. It can also control the shine and makes that subtle difference between radiance and oiliness. Primers come in powders, creams, and gels. If you are using a powder primer, then steer clear of the lines of your face as they will only make them more pronounced.

  1. Apply a good foundation

Now you can apply your foundation in the shade that works best for your skin. Start with very little at the top of your forehead, chin, and cheekbones. Work your way with a flat top foundation brush and work it into your hairline and up to your décolletage. Now use a round kabuki brush and buff it into the skin in broad sweeping strokes. You can also use your fingers for this. This ensures that the foundation really seeps into your pores. Once you’ve finished buffing, evaluate your problem areas like dark spots, blemishes, and marks. On the other hand, if you want to end your problem with these areas this can be a good starting point.

  1. Spot correct with a concealer.

Use a concealer for your spots and blemishes. Yes, after your foundation. With the help of a concealer brush pick up product and apply it directly on your spots till they are well concealed. Don’t worry about the mismatch with your foundation. You can blend it all in with your kabuki brush after you’re done. Extend your concealer to your eyelids as well. This can help your concealer brighten up the eyelid area and you won’t need any eyeshadow later.

  1. Fix with a translucent powder

Lots of people find this to be an unnecessary step. But if you want your makeup to stay fixed on your skin for an extended period, a pressing powder is a must. It increases the longevity of your make up.

  1. Use a Bronzer

Don’t go crazy on the bronzer. Use a flat brush to pick up some bronzer or if you use a stick then sweep the bronzer in the shape of the number 3 on the outside of your face. Start from your temples, down to your cheekbones and then your chin. Remember you don’t want to look tan. The bronzer adds to the sheen of the moist look. Again, extend to your eyelids and this will add more color to your eyes.

  1. Choose a Peachy Blush

For dewy skin use a peachier blush instead of a red or pink one. Peach blushes tend to give your appearance a more natural flush, where pink ones can create drama. Besides, they work on multiple skin tones.

  1. Highlight

Now you’re probably wondering why to highlight, but if you don’t use it, a foundation will make your face look sweaty instead. So use a highlighter and focus on your T zone, the bridge of your nose, near your tear ducts and your chin. These areas will stand out and give you a more balanced complexion resulting in a glowing, dewy look.

So there you are with a dewy look, perfect for a date or even an office day where you don’t want to make a statement.

Style & Instagrammables in Bali

I think Bali is everyone’s creative place – whether just for the feed, for your style photos or just to spark something inside your right brain. Here are my recommendations aside from the island tours and what I wore in these places.

Modern Restaurants/Bars

There are so many trendy cafe’s and restaurants in Bali, especially in Seminyak area, where you can see it left and right. My top pick and prolly the most Instagrammed one is Motel Mexicola, which made me feel like I’m in the tropical oasis of Mexico! There are visuals of art, religion and women lighted by neons. Don’t forget to visit the second floor and to visit int he afternoon. 😉

What to wear: casual. it is kinda hot in this place so while you can wear sparkly ones like below, make sure it is still comfortable!

Address: Motel Mexicola, Jalan Kayu Jati No. 9X, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

Other places: Nalu Bowls, Cafe Organic, The Bistrot, Sea Circus, Ling Ling’s, Sushimi,

Wearing @mikkascloset dress and earrings

Beach Clubs

Very popular whether in Kuta or Seminyak, Bali has pretty beach clubs! My top pick is Potato Head Beach Club, which has very modern interiors and just the perfect spot for that sunset viewing.

What to wear: bikini or your coolest summer outfit

Address: Potato Head Beach Club, alan Petitenget No.51B, Kerobokan Kelod, Kuta Utara, Kerobokan Kelod, Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

Other places: La Favela, La Plancha

Wearing @wearkimsantiago pair, @kirinkirin earrings

Traditional Cafe’s & Warung (Food)

Ubud, Kuta and Tabanan are great places for traditional Balinese food and restaurant interiors. Our Uber-turned-tour guide @Enno3170 whom we got the chance to talk and interview when were on our second day recommended these places which his tourists loved. The menu here are traditional, affordable yet of quality. Plus the interiors and traditional Balinese music, especially in Warung Dedari where we had lunch before going to Ubud. I highly recommend these places which are not yet so popular in social media but deserves the attention!

What to wear: Balinese inspired florals.

Addresses:

Merta Harum Agroo Luwak Coffee, Jl. Raya Mawang No.98, Lodtunduh, Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571, Indonesia

Warung Dedari, Jl. Raya Denpasar, Perean Tengah, Baturiti, Kabupaten Tabanan, Bali 82181, Indonesia

Warung Sunset, Jl. Sunset Road, Legian, Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

Mertha Harum Coffee Luwak Ubud

Water Temples

I told myself that whenever I would go to Bali, I would visit these temples, not just for Instagram but for spiritual purposes as well. Uluwatu was one of the main recommendations but Enno could only take us to these two which we can reach in a day: Ulun Danu and Tanah Lot. Pura Ulun Danu is a beautiful complex
